A Prayer for Stress
I can feel it in my body when I am feeling stressed. I may feel warmer, my stomach may start to ache, and if it is a big issue, I feel my muscle begin to tense up. Pain may start in my neck, and works it’s way into my back.
When I feel this happening, I know I need to take a step back, listen to my body, and say a prayer for stress.
There isn’t a bullet point list for me that I am able to quickly and easily recognize what I am feeling, then jump right into prayer. I do try to go to prayer as much and as fast as possible for comfort and strength.
Sometimes, however, I get bogged down in the situation in front of me, and I think about it until I have worked myself up!
Why do we feel we need to endure that?
Why do we feel that stress is to be tolerated?
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. – Psalms 55:22
God asks for us to lean on Him, and to go to Him in times of need.
We want to go to Him in all circumstances, good and bad, but He desires us to share our worries and concerns with Him.
He is GREATER than all the stress we carry in our bodies!
I have had some stressful situations recently and I talk to a good friend about it. At the moment, I feel better to talk about it and try to make sense of what is going on.
But I know in my heart, that it can be resolved supernaturally! If I release it to God, for Him to take care of, I am releasing the stress that isn’t serving me, my situation, my physical well being.
I have heard so many times that many, if not most of diseases, are brought on by stress. This isn’t something that we have to endure, there are solutions to relieve ourselves of stress and the “dis-ease”.
GOD WILL CARRY THE BURDEN OF OUR STRESS
It is awesome to know that our Father wants to help us with our stress and worries.
God does this supercharged! He can handle all that man can’t, we just need to surrender the situation and trust that He has it all under control. AMAZING!!!
God is the lighthouse to help us navigate our way to Him, to find the peace and comfort we desire.
