How I Will Improve My Health
Now that I have acknowledged the state of my well-being, I can look forward to the future.
It was important for me to become clear about my situation and not deny all I have done to put myself in this unhealthy state. I know I have been afraid to start, but I’m making the decision to work towards a healthier me!
Here is my plan and how I will improve my health.

I will continue learning about eating vegan and the Nutritarian lifestyle.
This is a lifestyle that I have only recently learned about, but it makes sense. I am blown away by all the diets that are available. Different diets work for different people.
The reason I am interested in eating vegan, mainly raw vegan, because it’s eating food in it’s purist form. The way God intended. I have thought for some time now about limiting or eliminating meat from my diet.
With all the information out there about what is added to meat with hormones and what they feed the animals, I’m wondering why I am putting it into my body?
Of course, I know that this is going to mean changes and commitment.
I am not looking for something that I will only do until I get to a certain weight.
I am looking at something that I can implement long term.
Keep me healthy for my lifetime.
This can give me better chances of not getting a serious illnesses. I have too much I want to do in life to get sick!
I can come up with all sorts of recipes and exercises to do.
However, if I am not prepared for a possible battle of the mind, I may end up right back where I started.
Each time I fail, I feel more defeated.
This time will be different because I am building my mind and my faith muscle!
I am going to train my mind on what to focus on. Extending myself grace when I don’t meet goals I have or if I feel I am not making the progress I thought I would.
I will do this with my faith in God, focusing on Him, and rewiring my thoughts using the technique called tapping. (Also known as EFT, the emotional freedom technique.)
Imagine being emotionally free from self-defeating thoughts! God gave us an incredible brain, and we can use it to succeed!
I will walk along side of you, and we will do this together.
TAPPING – EFT, THE EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE
In 2012, I took a course on EFT with the intention of incorporating it into my business, and became certified as an EFT Practitioner.
As I studied the technique, I began to integrate it into my personal life. I have experienced amazing outcomes working through emotions and stress, and getting to a more positive place.
I took what I learned and taught adult education classes for a short time. The feedback I got from those in attendance was very encouraging!
The power of prayer is something I have witnessed many times in my life.
I don’t believe in luck or coincidence.
By staying connected to God through prayer, I can give him my concerns and worries. There are no rules that I have to carry burdens. (or these extra pounds!)
Being overweight isn’t just about food.
I believe stress plays a big part in how I feel. How I feel can be a connected to my actions. My actions can lead to behavior that wants to soothe the stress. And round and round we go.
How do I forget to take these stresses, worries and concerns to God?
It’s ok. I’m taking a do-over. When we know better, we do better.
God waits patiently for us until we are ready!
Strength is good for our posture, our bones, and our confidence. Moving is good for the heart and to get the blood pumping.
These things help us to feel more alive!
I love that there are a large variety of ways one can exercise and workout! The type and intensity is all up to you. I personally like to push myself.
However, that is what I stopped doing 7 years ago. I stopped doing what I enjoyed, setting goals and challenging myself. I’m going to find my way back.
You may not like exercise. But is it possible that there are activities that you enjoy that are actually good for the body?
Walks around the lake? Hiking and exploring trails? Walking around the museum or zoo with grandkids? 5K events with the family?
There are so many FUN ways to get your body moving that you can enjoy!
We’ll explore many different ways to move.
This is were goal-setting comes in handy for me, since I like to challenge myself.
Don’t stress about this part if exercise isn’t your thing . . . yet. Let’s take baby steps. Literally, take baby steps. Some steps are better than none.

I will improve my health and change my life!
This isn’t a race, so I am NOT going to implement everything at once. Setting some goals so I can see my progress will be very important. I hope that you will do this too.
You can do this. We can do this together. One step at a time.
