Calming Tapping Script for Binge Eating Help
Binge eating doesn’t necessarily mean that we have eaten enough for the whole family. It can mean that it is more that what we needed. It could also mean that we ate when we weren’t hungry, the sudden urge to eat.
Binge eating also doesn’t mean that one does this everyday, or at every meal. Binge eating can happen in many situations, and triggered differently for each person.
I feel binge eating can a similar feeling to having an addiction. That may not feel good hear, and I can understand that.
Binge eating can be caused by a trigger. A thought, and feeling, a situation that causes you to want to go eat and soothe whatever you feel sad, frustrated, confused or angry about.
I get it. The feeling of wanting to wanting to feel better. To feel rewarded. To get relief.
But it’s really like the feeling is being drown out. Drown out by food. Because once we eat, whatever was bothering or upsetting us lessens, if not forgotten.
If we drown out the feelings with food, and we aren’t dealing with the root cause of why we wanted to eat to begin with. EFT and Tapping can help with binge eating!
REWARDING WITH FOOD
When we were younger, many of us were groomed that when we do a good job, we reward ourselves. Many times with food. Something sweet or special. This reaffirms that we did something good.
Many of us keep seeking that feeling as we get older. The feeling of comfort and reward. There are so many frustrations, disappointments, and hurt that we deal with on a daily basis, why not have a quick fix and numb the pain with something sweet and tasty?
But are we really making ourselves feel better?
What are we really missing? The comfort of food or man? Man will usually disappoint and let us down. We are human.
The comfort of the Almighty remains the same and is available at any given moment.
We just need to seek it and ask for the comfort we need. He is the reward. The relief He gives us is an amazing comfort and reward.
We can ask through conversation with God. He wants His children to ask.
Prayer can be done anytime and anywhere. EFT and tapping are comforting with prayer. It gives us another way to focus while talking with God.
Even if the binge eating is done unconsciously, because we are bored or watching a movie, it’s still filling something. Maybe you don’t know what that is. Ask God to show you.
EFT SCRIPT FOR BINGE EATING
EFT or “tapping” can be done anywhere. We can also use it with prayer. Just like kneeling or folding our hands, it gives us a way to focus.
EFT also sends signals through our body when we do light tapping. It disrupts the body’s pattern, just like acupressure or acupuncture. It is simple and painless, no needle required!
I personally find this practice to be very soothing and very effective. I have been able to not only help my focus while praying or connecting with God, but also quickly changing negative thoughts or feelings I have.
I know that God is the master engineer of the human body. We are amazingly made! He is also the great practitioner, and I know that our body and mind can be cared for in more than one way.
For thousands of years, eastern medicine has had great success, and I am open. I also know that God is in control. A great combination that soothes the body and mind!
